Notes

'Royal Candles' spiked speedwell (Veronica spicata 'Royal Candles') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, pollinator gardens, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun and average to moist soil of most types. Spikes bloom from early to late summer and bring in butterflies and bees. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. You can cut the blooms for bouquets.

Pairs well with Butterfly milkweed, Snowcap Shasta daisy, and Lady's mantle.
