'Horstmann' atlas cedar (Cedrus atlantica 'Horstmann') is a tree for specimen, accent, and winter interest. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It grows at a moderate rate and forms a conical evergreen shape. The tree tolerates drought and salt, and birds visit it.
