Notes

'Hot Lava' coneflower (Echinacea 'Hot Lava') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, pollinator gardens, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist soil of most types. Deer tend to pass it by. The orange-red petals surround a dark orange center cone. Butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, and birds visit the flowers.

Pairs well with Nodding onion, Sedge, and Tall sunflower.
