Notes

'Hot Summer' coneflower (Echinacea 'Hot Summer') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, pollinator gardens, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Its yellow-orange to red petals surround a dark orange center cone from early to late summer. Butterflies, bees, and birds visit the blooms. Deer rarely make it their first choice.

Pairs well with Nodding onion, Sedge, and Big Daddy hosta.
