Notes

Hyssop (Dracocephalum seravschanicum) is a perennial for borders, rock gardens, pollinator gardens, and containers. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. It forms a tidy clump with blue to purple flowers, and butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees visit the blooms. It sits low on the menu for deer. Drought tolerance makes it easy to keep.

Pairs well with Lavender, Yarrow, and Magnus coneflower.

Native range

Southern and eastern Europe, Northern Africa, and West Asia.
