'Ibiza' eulalia (Miscanthus sinensis 'Ibiza') is a grass for screens, specimens, and patio containers. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun. Slender green and maroon leaves arch gracefully, and red flower plumes rise above them in late summer. Deer rarely make it their first choice. Cut it to the ground in spring just before new growth starts.
Pairs well with Autumn fern, Blue Chiffon rose of sharon, and Yellow iris.
