Notes

'Indigo' rose (Rosa 'Indigo') is a shrub for borders, cottage gardens, specimen planting, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full sun and loamy or clay soil. Jean Laffay bred it in 1844. The mauve flowers are fragrant and bloom in late spring, summer, and early autumn. Bees visit them, and the plant suckers on its own roots, so give it room.

Pairs well with Dense blazing star, Virginia sweetspire, and Casa Blanca lily.
