Notes

Island tree poppy (Dendromecon harfordii) is a shrub for low maintenance planting, hedges, and xeriscape. It is hardy to USDA zone 8, or down to 10°F (-12°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It is evergreen and drought tolerant, so it keeps its leaves all year with little care. Yellow flowers draw butterflies to the garden.

Pairs well with California brittlebush, New Jersey tea, Hidcote lavender, and Shenandoah switchgrass.
