Notes

Ithuriel's spear (Triteleia laxa) is a bulb for borders, containers, xeriscapes, and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Blue flowers appear in spring and summer. Many blooms crowd each large umbel, and butterflies visit them. Once settled in, the plant is drought tolerant.

Pairs well with California poppy, Baby blue eyes, and Lady's mantle.
