Notes

'Kaikyo' rose (Rosa 'Kaikyo') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and hedges. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun and loamy or clay soil. Light yellow, fragrant blooms appear in late spring, again in summer, and in early autumn. Bees visit the flowers, and Shunsuke Takeuchi bred it in 2011.

Pairs well with Switchgrass, Blanket flower, and Japanese holly.
