Notes

'Kim' coneflower (Echinacea purpurea 'Kim') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, pollinator gardens, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist soil of most types. Clear pink blooms open from early to late summer, and butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, and birds visit them. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. Drought tolerance makes it easy to grow.

Pairs well with Prairie dropseed, Butterfly milkweed, and Prairie Sun rudbeckia.
