Notes

Kudzu vine (Pueraria montana) is a vine for ground cover and naturalized areas. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to average, loamy soil. It grows at a rapid rate and can climb 30 to 100 feet. Purple flowers open in early to late summer. Give it plenty of room, because it spreads fast.

Pairs well with White mulberry, Rose, and Ostrich fern.

Native range

China and Japan.
