Notes

Lady fern (Athyrium thelypterioides) is a fern for shade gardens, woodland borders, and mass plantings. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes part to full shade and average moisture. It grows 24 to 36 inches tall and spreads 24 to 36 inches wide. It does not bloom, so its fronds give the garden texture and a soft green look.

Pairs well with Lakeside Paisley Print hosta, Catawba rhododendron, and Wild hyacinth.
