Notes

'Fire and Ice' hosta (Hosta 'Fire and Ice') is a perennial for borders, containers, shade gardens, and ground cover. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun to full shade and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. It grows 12 to 18 inches tall and spreads 12 to 24 inches. Lavender flowers are fragrant and attract bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds.

Pairs well with Sedge, Phantom panicle hydrangea, Carlton daffodil, and Canadian hemlock.
