Notes

'Lakemont' grape (Vitis vinifera 'Lakemont') is a vine for food gardens, privacy screens, and winter interest. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It climbs, so give it a sturdy trellis or fence to hold the stems. Flowers open in early to late spring. The bare woody stems add structure to the garden in winter.

Pairs well with Boston ivy, Karl Foerster feather reed grass, and Staghorn sumac.
