Notes

Lavender cotton (Santolina chamaecyparissus) is a shrub for borders, containers, hedges, and xeriscape. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. The gray-silver leaves are fragrant and stay on the plant all year. Yellow flowers appear in spring, summer, and autumn.

Pairs well with Chaste tree, Karl Foerster feather reed grass, and Blue star creeper.
