Notes
'Lavinia' tulip (Tulipa 'Lavinia') is a bulb for borders, cut flowers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun and average moisture. Its flowers open in early to late spring on stems about 24 inches tall. The outside of each bloom is deep cardinal red. Inside, the red glows, the base is blue, and the anthers are greenish.
Pairs well with Bridal Crown daffodil, Monsieur Jules Elie peony, and Little bluestem.
