Notes
Lawson's cypress (Chamaecyparis lawsoniana) is an evergreen tree for accent. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun to part shade and dry to moist, sandy or loamy soil. It grows slowly and forms a narrow, pointed crown with lacy, fern-like green foliage. Protect it from drying winds, and avoid a site that stays too wet, since that can invite a fungus problem.
Pairs well with Autumn fern, Bush honeysuckle, and Little brown jug.
