Notes

'Lesotho' dahlia (Dahlia 'Lesotho') is a bulb for borders, cut flowers, containers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 7, or down to 0°F (-18°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil. It grows about 51 inches tall and bears dark purple-red blooms. Bees, butterflies, hummingbirds, and birds visit the flowers. H. Plochaet bred it, and J. Wolters introduced it in 2014.

Pairs well with Purple top, Joe-pyeweed, Casa Blanca lily, and Black Baccara rose.
