Notes

Lilac cranesbill (Geranium saxatile) is a perennial for borders, low maintenance beds, and ground cover. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full sun to full shade and average to moist soil of most types. It is not a favorite of rabbits, though hungry rabbits will eat almost anything. It blooms from early to late summer and attracts butterflies.

Pairs well with Columbine, Elegans hosta, and Carnaval De Nice tulip.
