Notes

Purple cranesbill (Geranium magnificum) is a perennial for borders, containers, and ground cover. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. It blooms from early to late summer and draws butterflies. Once it settles in, it tolerates drought.

Pairs well with Caradonna sage, Lady's mantle, Purple Sensation ornamental onion, and Peony.
