Notes

Lindheimer's muhly (Muhlenbergia lindheimeri) is a grass for borders, specimens, and accents. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to moist, loamy, clay, or chalky soil. It forms a fountain-like clump of fine, blue-green leaves with silvery seedheads that add soft texture in autumn. Deer tend to browse other plants first. Birds also use the leaves as nesting material.

Pairs well with Blazing star, Blue grama, and Bush honeysuckle.
