Notes
Seep muhly (Muhlenbergia reverchonii) is a grass for meadow plantings. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to moist, loamy, clay, or chalky soil. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. It grows 1 to 3 feet tall in dense tufts of slender stems. Old leaf sheaths form a curly, fibrous mass at the base, and the plant blooms in late summer and autumn, often more white than pink.
Pairs well with Mexican hat, Blue mistflower, and Texas bluebonnet.
