Notes

'Pink Flamingo' annual muhly (Muhlenbergia capillaris 'Pink Flamingo') is a grass for borders, accents, meadows, and xeriscapes. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. In fall it forms a feathery, deep pink cloud of airy seed heads that brings color to the garden. It sits low on the menu for deer. Butterflies, bees, and birds visit it.

Pairs well with Prairie dropseed, Magnus coneflower, and Gaura.
