Notes

'Lipstick' coneflower (Echinacea 'Lipstick') is a perennial for borders, cottage gardens, cut flower beds, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. It blooms from early to late summer and has fragrant flowers. Butterflies, bees, and birds visit it, and it tolerates drought.

Pairs well with Clustered bellflower, Sedge, Nodding onion, and Blue Muffin arrowwood viburnum.
