Notes
'Loch Raven' American holly (Ilex opaca 'Loch Raven') is a tree for hedges. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average moisture. It is evergreen and grows 15 to 25 feet tall. It spreads 10 to 15 feet wide, so give it room. Fragrant, greenish-white flowers open in late spring.
Pairs well with Rose of sharon, Coralbells, and Fountain grass.
