Notes

'Love Hearts' dutchman's breeches (Dicentra 'Love Hearts') is a perennial for shade gardens, woodland settings, and rock gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and average to moist soil. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. It grows 6 to 12 inches tall and wide. Yellow-green flowers with white bases and purple-red tips open in late spring and again in early to late summer.

Pairs well with Night Before Christmas hosta, White phlox, and Autumn crocus.
