Notes

'Night Before Christmas' hosta (Hosta 'Night Before Christmas') is a perennial for borders, containers, shade gardens, and ground cover. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and average to moist soil of most types. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by. It grows 15 to 18 inches tall and spreads at least 30 inches. Pale lavender flowers are fragrant and attract bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds.

Pairs well with White Swan coneflower, Strawberry Sundae panicle hydrangea, and Mount Hood daffodil.
