Notes

'Lucky Star' coneflower (Echinacea purpurea 'Lucky Star') is a perennial for borders, cottage gardens, meadows, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. White petals surround an orange-yellow center cone from early to late summer. Deer tend to browse other plants first. Butterflies, bees, and birds visit the blooms.

Pairs well with Prairie dropseed, Butterfly milkweed, and Prairie Sun rudbeckia.
