Notes

'Maarn' dahlia (Dahlia 'Maarn') is a bulb for the middle or back of borders and for cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 8, or down to 10°F (-12°C). This plant likes full sun and dry soil. Its large, ball-type flowers are bright tangerine orange and reach up to 3 inches wide on strong stems. Deer tend to browse other plants first. Lift the tubers and store them in a cool, dry, frost free place to keep them safe from winter wet.

Pairs well with Meadow sage, Shenandoah switchgrass, and Sea holly.
