Notes

'Mabel Lynas' rose (Rosa 'Mabel Lynas') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen plantings. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full sun and loamy or clay soil. Dark red blooms are fragrant and appear in late spring, early to late summer, and early autumn. Bees visit the flowers, and the glossy, light green leaves set them off. Samuel McGredy II bred it in 1926.

Pairs well with Lamb’s ear, Switchgrass, and Purple Coneflower coneflower.
