Notes

'Madame Butterfly' canna (Canna hybrida 'Madame Butterfly') is a perennial for borders, containers, accents, and rain gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 8, or down to 10°F (-12°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to wet soil of most types. It grows in a clump and draws butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. Howard and Smith Nursery bred it.

Pairs well with Montbretia, Red-hot poker, and Coneflower.
