'Make-Up' tulip (Tulipa 'Make-Up') is a bulb for borders, cut flower arrangements, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun and average moisture. The flowers open in early to late spring on stems about 22 inches tall. Creamy white petals show light cardinal red toward the edges, and the insides are feathered and striped with red. Bik bred it.
Pairs well with Thalia daffodil, Paula Fay peony, and Little bluestem.
