Notes
'Manzanillo' olive (Olea europaea 'Manzanillo') is a tree for the food garden. It is hardy to USDA zone 8, or down to 10°F (-12°C). This plant likes full sun and dry soil. You can grow it for green or black table olives or for sweet, aromatic olive oil. The fruit are medium to large with meaty flesh. It may set some fruit on its own, but a pollenizer like Frantoio, Leccino, or Arbequina helps.
Pairs well with Pomegranate, Artichoke, and Zinfandel grape.
