Notes
'Mardi Gras' glossy abelia (Abelia grandiflora 'Mardi Gras') is a shrub for borders, containers, and hedges. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. Fragrant flowers appear in spring, summer, and autumn and draw butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees. Deer tend to browse other plants first. Once settled, it tolerates drought.
Pairs well with So White gaura, Hardy geranium, Fountain grass, and Purple top.
