Notes

'Matthias Claudius' rose (Rosa 'Matthias Claudius') is a shrub for borders, cottage gardens, specimen planting, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun and loamy or clay soil. Light pink, fragrant blooms open in late spring, early to late summer, and early autumn. Bees visit the flowers. Jens Kruger bred it in 2019.

Pairs well with Garden phlox, Japanese forest grass, and Jacob’s ladder.
