Notes

'Midnight' rose (Rosa 'Midnight') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full sun and loamy or clay soil. Its dark red blooms are fragrant and attract bees. Herbert C. Swim bred it in 1957. The compact habit and dark green leaves suit tidy spaces.

Pairs well with Casa Blanca lily and Nelly Moser clematis.
