Notes

'Mohler' American persimmon (Diospyros virginiana 'Mohler') is a tree for the food garden, grown for fresh eating, syrups, jellies, ice creams, and pies. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun. It is one of the earliest-ripening American persimmons and bears sweet, deep orange fruit. The leaves turn orange and yellow in fall. It is partially self-fertile, but a male tree nearby gives you more fruit.

Pairs well with Golden Delicious apple, Raspberry, and Blue star.
