Notes

Mountain magnolia (Magnolia fraseri) is a tree for accent, woodland, and pollinator garden use. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full sun to part shade and average to wet soil. Its large white flowers are fragrant and open from spring into early summer. Bees visit the blooms and birds visit the tree. Prune right after it blooms, because dormant magnolias do not easily heal.

Pairs well with Blue star, Beautyberry, Fountain grass, and Cross vine.
