Notes

'Mrs Bernard Jones' sweet pea (Lathyrus odoratus 'Mrs Bernard Jones') is an annual for borders, containers, cottage gardens, and privacy screens. It shrugs off cool spells and light frost, though a hard freeze will damage it. This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy or loamy soil. It climbs quickly to about 5 or 6 feet and bears fragrant flowers that attract butterflies and bees. Deer usually look elsewhere for a meal. Give it a trellis or fence to climb.

Pairs well with Purity cosmos, Wave Purple petunia, and Charm peony.
