Notes
'Purity' cosmos (Cosmos bipinnatus 'Purity') is an annual for borders, cut flowers, and pollinator gardens. It is not cold-hardy and will not survive freezing temperatures. This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist soil of most types. It grows fast, reaching 35 to 47 inches tall in a clump, and it attracts butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, and birds. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. Drought tolerance makes it an easy choice for a low care garden.
Pairs well with Ageratum, Hidcote lavender, and Franz Schubert garden phlox.
