Notes

Narrow-leaf coneflower (Echinacea angustifolia) is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, pollinator gardens, and meadows. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full sun to part shade and dry to average soil of most types. Deer rarely make it their first choice. Light pink to pale purple rays droop from a dark, spiny, cone-shaped center. Butterflies, bees, and birds visit the blooms.

Pairs well with Blue sage, Switchgrass, and Blue wild indigo.
