Notes

'New Orleans' dahlia (Dahlia 'New Orleans') is a bulb for borders, cut flowers, containers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 7, or down to 0°F (-18°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil. It grows about 39 inches tall and blooms in yellow with a reddish orange glow on the upper third of each petal. Bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds visit the flowers. L.J.P. van der Vlugt bred it in 1996.

Pairs well with Joe-pyeweed, Snapdragon, and Mondo grass.
