Notes

Night-blooming jasmine (Cestrum nocturnum) is a shrub for borders, containers, and hedges. It grows outdoors year-round in USDA zone 9 and warmer, down to about 20°F (-7°C). In colder areas, grow it as a houseplant or bring it indoors for winter. This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. Creamy white to pale green flowers open at night and smell intensely sweet. Keep it by a patio or entryway to enjoy the scent, and note that the leaves and berries are poisonous.

Pairs well with Shrimp plant, Little Gem southern magnolia, Red ginger, and Kimberly queen fern.
