Notes
Purple cestrum (Cestrum elegans) is a shrub for annual beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 8, or down to 10°F (-12°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to average soil. It grows 6 to 10 feet tall and wide, so give it room. The red to violet flowers open in late spring, again in summer, and into early autumn.
Pairs well with Vermillionaire cuphea, Purple sage, and Lemongrass.
