Notes

Orange jessamine (Cestrum aurantiacum) is a shrub for borders, hedges, privacy screens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 7, or down to 0°F (-18°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Fragrant golden orange flowers open in spring, summer, and autumn, and they attract butterflies, hummingbirds, and birds. It sits low on the menu for deer. It grows 6 to 10 feet tall, so give it room.

Pairs well with Wax myrtle, Society garlic, and Spiderwort.
