Notes

Nodding beggartick (Bidens cernua) is an annual for wet spots, naturalized areas, and wildlife gardens. It is typically grown as an annual. It is tender to cold, and the first hard frost will kill it. This plant likes part sun or part shade and moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Its many yellow flower heads nod more as they mature, and they bloom from late summer into mid autumn. Birds visit the plant, and the species name cernua is Latin for nodding.

Pairs well with Interrupted fern, Masterwort, and Snow on the mountain.
