Notes
Orange lily (Lilium bulbiferum) is a bulb for borders, containers, and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. It blooms from early to late summer and attracts bees. Plants reach 35 to 47 inches tall, so give them a spot toward the back of a border.
Pairs well with Blue wild indigo, Plenum Violaceum hardy geranium, and Foxtail barley.
Native range
Mountains of S & C Europe, S Germany, and Scandinavia.
