Notes

Pacific hound's-tongue (Adelinia grandis) is a perennial for borders and containers, and it needs little care. It is hardy to USDA zone 7, or down to 0°F (-18°C). This plant likes part sun and dry to average, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Loose clusters of purple or blue flowers open on branches at the top of the stems in spring and early summer. Butterflies and hummingbirds visit the blooms. The name comes from the shape of the broad leaves.

Pairs well with Sedge, Society garlic, and Speedwell.
