Notes

'Pacific Ocean' dahlia (Dahlia 'Pacific Ocean') is a bulb for borders, containers, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 8, or down to 10°F (-12°C). This plant likes full sun and dry soil. The semi double, 3 inch flowers have lemony-yellow petals edged and tipped in soft pink. They bloom in early to late summer and again in early to mid autumn on sturdy stems about 2.5 feet tall. Butterflies visit the blooms, and you can lift and store the tubers indoors in a cool, dry place for winter.

Pairs well with Globemaster allium, Shenandoah switchgrass, and Rozanne crane's-bill.
